10 new resource streams added to Kalundborg’s ecosystem

The green pipes are present all over the Biotech City to support the residue exchange between companies.

Kalundborg Symbiosis demonstrates how strategic public-private partnerships through close, trustful collaboration facilitate growth and sustainable development accelerating the green transition.

Sustainable partnerships to reduce environmental footprint

The establishment of the 10 new resource streams marks an important milestone for the Symbiosis, demonstrating the continued commitment of its members to sustainable industry practices.

The new resource streams involve the exchange of various residues between companies including paper, hemicellulose, lubricating oil, support fuel etc. Some of the streams are brand new, some are the result of new partners entering the partnership, and some streams have been established years ago without being mapped in the mutual ecosystem. Screening activities during this winter have uncovered all three categories.
